Downgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 7 and got the dreaded No bootable devices found. These operating systems restrict installation of drivers via Universal Restore and contain a lot of preinstalled drivers and in most cases are able to boot itself on new hardware. So I had this issue today with a Dell Latitude 5580.

BOOTABLE WINDOWS 10 DRIVERS NOT FOUND INSTALL
So to sum up, I'm able to access my drives now, but still unable to disable Driver Verifier. Acronis Universal Restore does not install drivers on the most recent Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows Server 2012R2, 2016, 2019) by design. When I try to import the Windows 10 System Hive to delete the Verifier keys, I am told that the file is not a valid registry file. I suspect I am again seeing the registry settings for the WinPE environment, and not the installed Windows 10 environment. When I try to edit the registry settings using Regedit there are no Verifier registry settings.

However, if you have access to Windows 8 or 10, then I found that it was possible to copy the BCD tool files from the later version of Windows and use them while booted into Windows 7. I suspect I am working with Driver Verifier in the WinPE environment, and not the installed Windows 10 environment. The bcd boot command in Windows 7 does not support the /f parameter so this will not work under Windows 7. When I try to disable Verifier from the WinPE command prompt, I am told it's not active. Without it Windows does not recognize the keyboard and mouse, so I am unable to disable Verifier from a clean boot. However one of the drivers is a USB driver. I have renamed the problem drivers Verifier identified I have created a WinPE boot disk, customized it with the RAID drivers, and can now access the system disks. I have made some progress, but still encountering difficulty. They are in the registry) and/or delete the offending driver? How do I boot my Win 10 system to safe mode or some facsimile where I can load the RAID drivers, access my drive partitions, and either clear the Verifier settings (I know where Because the RAID drivers are not loaded, IĬannot access restore points, I cannot use a recovery disk, and I cannot repair the drive. Booting into the repair facility on the installation media does not work. Recovery with an installation copy gives me the message that no system copy could be found on my computer. I have tried all of the documented tips for fixing this. I downloaded the Windows 10 recovery and tried all options: - System recovery states I should state which installation of Windows I wish to reinstall, but I dont get an option to fill this in somewhere. Now unless enables before shutting the system down. In the old days, I would have booted the system in SAFE MODE, cleared the Verified settings and/or deleted the driver and not lost a week of my life. That option is unavailable I believe this is due to my AMD RAID 5 configuration. My system appears to be fine, except that I am unable to boot the system to a state that allows me to disable driver verifier or delete the offendingĭriver. Now the system BSODs at the same driver every time it boots. The computer boots to the Automatic Repair menu instead of Windows, and displays the following message: Automatic Repair couldnt repair your PC.

On a fresh install or update and first boot of Windows 10, let Windows sit for at least 15 minutes to ensure the background silent download and installation is completed. Once Windows is installed and Bootcamp assistant has finished installing all the drivers, Download DD (Double Driver).

In order to get a driver installed outside of Windows Update do the following: Once the silent driver install is completed, you will need to reboot your PC for it to finalize. If you attempt to manually install a driver during this time, it will fail immediately, because a driver install is already being done silently in the background. This can sometimes take up to 5-10 minutes before the silent driver installation will begin. On your first boot of a fresh installation of Windows 10, Windows Update will attempt to download and install GPU drivers in the background.
